The Cycling Worlds will shine a spotlight on Glasgow and host regions across Scotland, with visitors from all over the world travelling to enjoy the events.
Whilst transport disruption to local communities and businesses will be minimised as far as possible, it’s important to get ready. With over 8,000 cyclists and more than 1 million spectators expected, please be aware that our road and public transport network will be much busier than normal. There will also be some road closures associated with the event. We want all residents and businesses to be able to enjoy the Championships, whilst also being able to go about their day-to-day activities.
In the lead up to the Championships, it’s important to plan ahead. Different locations will be affected on different days, at different times and with different impacts. Plan your journeys ahead of time, to minimise delays and disruption before, during and after events.
