Volunteer roles

We’ll ask you to choose your top three preferred volunteer departments. The information you give us about your skills, interests and experience will help us match you to the most suitable role.

Spectator Services

Thousands of visitors will descend on Scotland and you’ll be ready on the frontlines of our official locations and Fan Zones to give them a friendly welcome, answer questions and help with directions.

Event Operations

Help this event run smoothly by bringing your administrative, logistics and problem solving skills.

You’ll be the first point of contact for athletes, officials, VIPs, media, UCI team members and fellow volunteers as you assist with check-ins and create passes.

There’s a chance that our Accreditation Centres may be opening in July, so we need Volunteers to be available earlier than the event dates!

It’s not all about bikes! We need you to help manage and support shuttle services that transport our athletes, officials and fans from A to B around our key locations all over Scotland.

Transport Fleet

We also need volunteers with valid and clean driving licences to drive our vehicles, make sure they’re in tip-top condition and help with logistics.

Athletes, officials and fans will be calling Scotland home for the event, and we need you to make them feel like they’re at home. You’ll help with arrivals & departures, assisting at information desks and all things customer care.

Technology makes our event tick and we need skilled volunteers to provide admin support on the helpdesk. You’ll be troubleshooting problems and reporting issues, so strong tech skills are a must.

Workforce & Volunteer Services

You’ll be supporting the workforce across the event, ensuring daily information is up to date, providing admin support and customer service and assist with check-ins. You’ll create a fun, engaging environment for all who make the event happen.

Media, Marketing & Comms

The world will be watching and with all eyes on Scotland you’ll help make sure that everything goes to plan.

Media Operations

You’ll help run all media facilities for journalists and photographers by ensuring their spaces are well maintained and providing admin support.

The International Broadcast Centre needs people with strong admin skills to keep a challenging and complex working environment as calm and orderly as it can possibly be!

Comms Support

You’ll be in the thick of things by capturing and creating social media content that shows the very best of the Championships. We need people with an interest in Media, Marketing, PR and Social to gather quotes and photos that will engage a huge global audience.

You’ll be on site to make sure every single visitor has the best experience possible.

Hospitality Areas

You’ll be part of a buzzing team that manages arrivals and coat check. With people from all around the world in attendance, good communication skills are a must.

Championships Family Services

You’ll be supporting the official events and Championships HQ by working on welcome desks and admin support.

Sport Operations

Do you have specific knowledge and experience within a particular cycling discipline? Then we need you!

You’ll have behind-the-scenes access to the Championships as you support events, venue requirements, equipment management and call room.

Sport Services

You’ll support everything sport, including info desks, admin tasks, team manager meetings. We also need people to act as anti-doping chaperones and results runners.

Medal Ceremonies

This is where dreams come true! You’ll be part of the team that makes the ceremonies happen and honours every medalist. You’ll make sure people are in the right place at the right time and other operational support duties.
