For the first time in history, you will be able to watch multiple UCI World Championships be won on the same day in one amazing location.
The opening weekend of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships will see action on the road, track, and trails. Our first dream itinerary will see you make the most of the action from the opening weekend of the Championships.
Starting up north, this trip will take from the Highlands of Scotland in Fort William, down to sunny Glasgow, across to the historic capital of Edinburgh, and back to Glasgow city centre.

Friday 4 August
Start north and then head south!
Where better to start your Scottish cycling adventure than in sunny (sometimes!) Fort William!
There really is nothing like watching Mountain Bike Downhill at Nevis Range. Friday 4 August will be your chance to catch the best in the world attempt to send it down the mountain as fast as possible - all in the hope of securing a place in Saturday’s final!
However, if you’re worried that a qualifying day will not have the same drama as the finals? Worry not! With over 100 male and female elite riders aiming to secure their spot for Saturday, they'll still be going hell for leather! It makes for exhilarating viewing.
Rainbow Jersey opportunity: Women Junior & Men Junior Mountain Bike Downhill
You will be able to witness some of the first Rainbow Jerseys of the 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds be handed out. Both the Women and Men Junior Downhill finals will be on after the Elite qualifying.

Saturday 5 August
Flips and Sprints - all in one day!
Once you’ve made your way from Fort William to Glasgow - Saturday 5 August is a great chance to catch two UCI World Championships in three day!
Start your morning in Glasgow Green to watch BMX Freestyle Park - Elite Qualifying. This will be the first stage in the riders quest for rainbow glory.
The BMX athletes will be showing off some of their best flips, spins and tricks in order to make it through to Sunday’s Semi-Finals. One mistake could cost them as the field is packed full of talent!
Once you’ve taken in the style and charm of BMX Freestyle Park, take a very short walk to the edge of Glasgow Green and you can catch the Women Junior and Men Junior Road Races.
The rising stars of the sport will be racing around the Glasgow City Circuit, zooming past some of the iconic city landmarks, before finishing in George Square.

Rainbow Jersey Opportunity: Women Junior & Men Junior Road Race
You will be able to watch the first Rainbow Jerseys on the road be won! They will be awarded to both riders on the podium in George Square.
A perfect spot for lunch: The People's Palace
Right in the heart of Glasgow Green is The People's Palace. It features the Winter Garden conservatory and cafe! A perfect spot for lunch!
To finish off the day, make the short cycle journey down to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome to catch a dramatic night of action on the track.
Saturday’s evening session is jam packed and will include the time trial, sprint, keirin, team pursuit and the wildly entertaining scratch race.
Riders have to give everything they’ve got for every advantage because fractions of a second will determine who gets to go home a hero.
Rainbow Jersey Opportunity: It will be a crammed medal session with seven finals taking place across Para-Cycling and able bodied events.
Medal events include Women C5 3km Individual Pursuit (Omnium), Women Team Pursuit, and the Men C3 15km Scratch Race (Omnium)

Glasgow is full of incredible live music venues including the iconic Barrowlands Ballroom, which plays host to some of the world's biggest performers all year round.
Sunday 5 August
Finish in style with a day at the road race!
Spend the day watching the start and finish of the Men Elite Road Race by starting in the historic streets of Edinburgh, and then making the quick train journey over to Glasgow in time for the final 100km in the city circuit.
There will be so many brilliant vantage points to watch the Road Race across Glasgow, but none will be better than standing right at the heart of it in George Square. Right in the centre of Glasgow, the Square will play host to the finish line for the race and will be the perfect opportunity to cheer on the final sprint to rainbow glory!
Other vantage points will be on the Montrose Street climb and at the Park circus on Glasgow Green.
Rainbow Jersey Opportunity: The rainbow jersey for the Men Elite Road Race will be handed out to the winner in George Square!
Take in some art: Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum
Just a short cycle along from George Square is Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum - one of Scotland's most popular free attractions with over 8,000 objects on display!
