Major events such as 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds simply couldn’t happen without the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers. It’s as simple as that!

To make next year’s cycling mega-event a massive success, we need around 4,000 volunteers to join our extended peloton. Thousands of you have already been in touch to help us power the bike, and we can’t wait to get as many of you as possible into roles as soon as we can!

But, there are also so many personal benefits to volunteering for you too.

So if you’re still undecided about volunteering next year – maybe a few of these points will help you decide to join us, and join in!

Make friends and create memories

Volunteering is a chance to meet new people who share the same interests as you, all while working towards the same goal. Many people who have volunteered at major events in the past end up making friends for life, and in the process - create lasting memories.

It can also help strengthen existing relationships between you and your family, friends, and co-workers!

Learn skills, gain experience and build confidence

Want to learn a new skill? Volunteering allows you to learn something new and develop current skills, as well as gain new experience in a different role, event or sport.  Lots of volunteers report that trying something new while volunteering helped them gain confidence and gave them a massive sense of achievement!
