Our Impact

The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships set out and delivered on inspiring people of the power of the bike.

Our Impact

The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships had a mission to inspire people to ride bikes. Those people will inspire more people - everyone’s an equally important link in the chain. Before you know it, those local communities inspire countries and their governments to prioritise cycling. Pedal power for the people. The result is improved air quality, less congestion, and more kids cycling to school. Everyone is fitter, happier, healthier. That’s the power of the bike.

Our aims were to maximise on a small window of massive opportunity and unlock the power of the bike. Read more on our Storybook!

Education

The Power of the Bike – 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships design challenge.

This is a free resource that is available to all schools and community groups, and is recommended for ages 9 and up.

The Power of the Bike Challenge is a creativity and design project that looks for innovative ideas and solutions to release the power of the bike for us all.

We want pupils and community groups to work as teams to develop their own creative ideas and products to make cycling better.

Taking part in the challenge will develop creativity and STEM skills, encourage pupils to look afresh at where they live and, importantly, have fun!
