What is the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships?
The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships is the first event of its kind - never seen nor cycled before. The world’s greatest riders will come together in Glasgow and across Scotland in August 2023 to compete at the highest level over 13 UCI World Championships.
When is it taking place?
The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships will be taking place from 3 – 13 August 2023.
Where is the event taking place?
The event will be taking place at venues in Glasgow and across Scotland. Below is a list of where each of the Championships will be held:

- Mountain Bike Downhill (Nevis Range Mountain Resort, Fort William)
- Para-cycling Road (Dumfries & Galloway)
- Para-cycling Track (Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow)
- Road (Road Race Start: Edinburgh / Glasgow / Loch Lomond. Road Race Finish: George Square, Glasgow, Time Trial: Stirling)

Event in numbers
Over 8000 elite and amateur cyclists will participate. Bringing their bikes from more than 120 countries. 13 World Championships will be contested. 11 days will determine the best from the rest.
Over 200+ Rainbow jerseys will be crowned champion.
All at ONE mega event.
How many spectators are expected?
The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships will be the single biggest cycling event in history, bringing together for the first time 13 existing UCI World Championships into one mega event, it has been calculated approximately 1 million spectators will attend with many millions more watching online and on TV.
